Supporting Individuals Through Equine Connection

At Riding The Spectrum, we believe that every person deserves the chance to grow, connect, and thrive—regardless of ability or financial circumstance. Rooted in compassion and guided by evidence-informed practices, we offer inclusive riding and equine-assisted learning experiences that empower individuals with autism and developmental disabilities, while welcoming participants of all abilities and backgrounds.

Our programs are designed to support emotional well-being, social development, and physical coordination in a safe, sensory-aware environment. Whether in the saddle or on the ground, riders and learners form meaningful connections with horses, instructors, and peers—building confidence, communication, and trust along the way.

From one-on-one sessions to inclusive small-group experiences, Riding The Spectrum is committed to breaking down barriers and opening up pathways to joy, independence, and belonging.

Instructor Kate and her team have been amazing with my son Taylor. They're patient and kind, and they really take the time to teach him how to ride the proper way, at his pace. It's not just having fun, he has learned so much and it's helping him to grow in ways we didn't expect. His confidence has grown, his ability to follow instructions has improved and it's giving him a healthy outlet to express himself.

Zachary's riding lessons are the first activity that has kept his interest and calmed him. We have tried swimming, gymnastics and various others and none of them worked for him. This is an activity he looks forward to and he absolutely loves the horses. I see him gaining confidence in riding when a year ago he was scared to even ride. The 1:1 time with you and the horse is having a positive impact.

To see him working on his core with his arms outstretched while on the horse shows the trust he has in you and the horses.

Appreciate what the program has to offer.
